President Droupadi Murmu urged NIT Jamshedpur graduates to use their technical skills for societal good, emphasizing that true success comes from contributing to inclusive nation-building and addressing challenges like waste management and sustainability. She praised the institute’s innovation center and called for institutions to be judged by their societal impact, not just rankings. The convocation included a lamp-lighting ceremony, oath-taking, and gold medals awarded to two students. Earlier, Murmu marked the centenary of the Ol Chiki script and released the Constitution of India in Santhali using the script to empower the Santhal community.
