North Carolina’s Education Lottery set a record with $6.586 billion in sales in fiscal year 2025, up from $5.4 billion the prior year, but funding for public schools fell to $1.05 billion—16% of lottery revenue, the lowest in three years—despite a 22.5% sales increase.
