A man arrested in South Africa is linked to a deadly December 6 hostel shooting that killed 12, including three children.
A 32-year-old suspect arrested in Polokwane on December 22 has had a firearm linked to the December 6 mass shooting at a hostel tavern in Atteridgeville, Pretoria, through ballistics testing.
The attack, which killed at least 12 people—including three minors—and injured 13 others, was carried out by three gunmen.
The suspect faces charges of unlawful firearm possession, 12 counts of murder, and 13 counts of attempted murder.
He will remain in custody after dropping his bail application and is set to appear in court on December 31.
Police continue searching for two other suspects believed involved in the attack.
