Jim Evans, a 63-year-old former fisherman from Aberporth and current Chief Executive of the Welsh Fishermen’s Association, has been awarded an MBE in the 2026 New Year Honours for services to fishing.
Recognized after stepping back from commercial fishing around 2011–12, he was honored for his advocacy work and peer-nominated recognition.
