India approves Rs 200 crore loan for Uttarakhand’s mining reforms under SASCI scheme.
The central government has approved a Rs 200 crore loan for Uttarakhand under the SASCI scheme for 2025-26 to support mining sector reforms, focusing on minor minerals and the State Mining Readiness Index.
The funds aim to enhance transparency, technology adoption, and sustainability in mining, following the state’s ranking second in India for mining reforms.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami credited the move for boosting revenue and creating local jobs.
Meanwhile, the state will launch State Pragati in January 2026 for monthly reviews of key schemes, and school infrastructure upgrades under PM SHRI must be completed by March 2026.
