A bus crash in India's Uttarakhand killed at least seven, injuring 12, with the cause under investigation.
At least six people were killed and twelve were injured when a bus carrying 17 to 19 people crashed into a gorge on a mountain road in the Almora district of Uttarakhand on Tuesday.
Another death was reported during transportation.
The car reportedly lost control close to Shilapani while traveling from Bhikiyasain to Ramnagar.
The injured were taken to hospitals, some of them in critical condition, by rescue teams from the State Disaster Response Force and local police.
Both Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sadness, offered condolences, and confirmed that the situation would continue to be monitored.
The cause is still being looked into.
