A former Texas substitute teacher and her boyfriend were charged in late December 2025 with child sexual assault and related crimes, unrelated to school or district students.
Madison Paige Jones, 30, a former Texas substitute teacher, and her boyfriend Zackery Dondlinger, 37, were charged in late December 2025 with child sexual assault-related offenses, including aggravated sexual assault, indecency with a child, possession of child pornography, and sexual performance by a child.
Jones, who had substituted four times for Midlothian Independent School District in the past year, was arrested on December 17 and held on a $90,000 bond; Dondlinger was arrested December 23.
Authorities confirmed the alleged crimes did not occur at school or involve district students.
The school district said it was promptly notified by the Texas Department of Public Safety, terminated Jones’s employment, and followed required reporting procedures, affirming its criminal background monitoring system worked as intended.
