Delhi High Court grants bail to Sandeepa Virk in ₹6 crore fraud case due to delayed charges and repayment of funds.
The Delhi High Court granted bail to social media influencer Sandeepa Virk in a PMLA case linked to a ₹6 crore fraud involving fake beauty products and a promise of a film role.
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma cited a nearly nine-year delay in filing charges, noting Virk was neither charge-sheeted nor summoned in the original case, and that ₹2.7 crore had already been returned.
The court found her continued detention unjustified, granted bail on a ₹2 lakh bond with two sureties, and imposed strict conditions including passport surrender and regular court appearances.
The decision emphasized the right to liberty and did not comment on the case’s merits.
