A 14-year-old boy, son of the home’s landlord and a private security guard, reportedly handled his father’s licensed .315 bore rifle, which discharged accidentally.
The weapon was hanging in the room, and the landlord had left it behind before traveling to his village.
Rishabh was found unconscious and bleeding, and police seized the rifle and taken the landlord into custody.
While authorities say the incident appears accidental, the victim’s family alleges a different firearm was used and the landlord fled with the original.
