The Virtus Reaves Utilities ETF (UTES) saw short interest drop 37.8% in December to 124,700 shares, with 0.8% of shares short sold and a days-to-cover ratio of 0.7. The ETF traded at $79.48, below its 50-day and 200-day moving averages. Valicenti Advisory Services bought 41,000 shares in the third quarter, adding $3.42 million to its stake. The fund, launched in 2015, tracks the S&P Utilities Select Sector index and focuses on U.S. utility stocks based on fundamental, growth, and risk factors.
