The ProShares Short Bitcoin ETF (BITI) saw short interest drop 39.3% in December, falling to 221,350 shares by December 15, with 4.9% of shares shorted and a days-to-cover ratio of 0.1.
The fund, which tracks inverse bitcoin futures performance, traded at $23.16 on Friday with low volume.
Meanwhile, the ProShares S&P 500 Ex-Energy ETF (SPXE) saw short interest rise 157.4% to 556 shares, though it remains low at 0.1% of shares, with a days-to-cover ratio of 0.4.
SPXE, launched in 2015, trades at $74.75 with a P/E of 26.41.
