The Fit India Sundays on Cycle 2025 finale in Kolkata drew nearly 1,500 participants, including athletes, students, and professionals, at the Sports Authority of India’s regional center.
Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with support from national sports bodies, the event featured cycling, Zumba, yoga, and folk music, promoting physical activity amid winter.
Over 20 lakh people have joined the nationwide initiative since its December 2024 launch, with events now held at over 2 lakh locations across India, including Ludhiana, Dharamsala, and Bikaner.
Ten local cycling clubs and state champions were honored, and officials emphasized daily fitness and sustainable transportation as key goals.
