A widely sold pain relief ointment containing lidocaine, available at Walmart, Target, and Amazon, is being recalled nationwide due to the lack of child-resistant packaging. The recall affects about 50,000 containers with UPC 860006498115, sold between April 2024 and October 2025. While the product’s ingredients and effectiveness are not compromised, the absence of safety lids raises risks of accidental ingestion, especially by children. Consumers are urged to keep the product away from children and contact manufacturer Plantimex for a free child-safety lid to restore safe use.
