Indian fruit wine exports nearly doubled to $6.7 million in early 2024–25, led by new U.S. shipments of jamun, mango, and apple wines.
Indian fruit wines, including jamun, mango, and apple varieties, saw exports nearly double to $6.7 million in the first seven months of 2024–25, driven by growing international demand in the U.S., UK, UAE, and other markets.
The first-ever export of Indian jamun wine, Curry Favour, was shipped to New York and New Jersey, while Alphonso mango and Kashmiri apple wines gained traction abroad.
Despite these gains, exporters face high import duties, limited domestic demand, and lack of government support, particularly for small producers in the Northeast.
The overall Indian wine market reached ₹5,630 crore in 2025, but domestic growth remains sluggish compared to imported brands.
