A 17-year-old Delhi teen, who rented a Mahindra Thar using money taken from home, crashed the vehicle in Noida’s Sector 22 after attempting to flee his family, driving without a license and with a minor passenger. The high-speed reverse maneuver struck multiple vehicles, including a Bullet motorcycle, injuring three people—one with severe head injuries. Police seized the SUV, detained the minors, and filed charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for rash driving and causing grievous hurt. Authorities are investigating how the underage driver obtained the rental and the circumstances of his escape.
