TNCC chief condemns minority attacks in BJP states, urges action on election transparency and alliance talks.
TNCC President K. Selvaperunthagai condemned attacks on minorities in BJP-ruled states, calling them a threat to India’s sovereignty, and criticized Prime Minister Modi’s silence on minority Hindu safety in Bangladesh.
He urged the Union Government to act and demanded transparency from the Election Commission on the SIR issue.
Stressing early seat-sharing in alliances, he cited Bihar’s last-minute negotiations as a cautionary example, noting AICC in-charge Krish Jodankar’s push for early talks with the DMK.
He affirmed the INDIA alliance’s strength, dismissed Tiruchi Velusamy’s remarks as personal, and expressed confidence that Tamil Nadu’s Chief Minister will fulfill the remaining election promises, with nearly 80% already delivered.
Upcoming visits by Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi to Tamil Nadu were also anticipated.
