Six stores in the Hunter region, including four in Lake Macquarie and two in Port Stephens, were temporarily closed for selling illegal tobacco under new NSW laws allowing 90-day shutdowns.
The closures, part of a broader crackdown by NSW Health and Police, followed the law’s November 3 implementation and will last until early February 2026.
