Oregon extends SNAP loss reporting deadline to Jan. 16 for 19 storm-affected counties.
SNAP recipients in 19 Oregon counties affected by December 2025 storms and power outages have until January 16, 2026, to report food losses and request replacement benefits, extending the standard 10-day deadline.
The Oregon Department of Human Services made the change for Benton, Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Coos, Douglas, Hood River, Jefferson, Klamath, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Wallowa, Washington, and Yamhill counties.
Replacement benefits, up to the household’s monthly SNAP limit, are added to EBT cards after approval via phone, email, in-person, mail, or online.
Outside these areas, the 10-day rule applies.
Support is available through food pantries, aging and disability services, and 211.
SNAP serves about 1 million low-income Oregonians.
