As of October 2025, India’s ETF industry surpassed ₹10 lakh crore in Assets Under Management, doubling in three years, driven by rising retail investor participation and increased trading volumes that surged over sevenfold since 2019-20.
Over three crore ETF investor accounts now exist, up more than eightfold since 2020, supported by digital platforms and growing financial awareness.
Equity ETFs remain dominant, but gold and silver ETFs now make up nearly 15% of AUM, with gold ETF assets exceeding ₹1 lakh crore and silver ETF assets quadrupling to over ₹49,000 crore.
