Harford County police arrested 37-year-old Kenneth King Jr. in connection with a Christmas Day shooting in Edgewood, Maryland, where 32-year-old Marquis Gaskins was shot in the abdomen and airlifted to a hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on December 25 at the 1700 block of Dearwood Court.
Authorities recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and multiple cell phones from a vehicle stopped near Conowingo Road and the Bel Air Bypass, where King was found wearing clothing matching surveillance footage.
Police believe the suspect and victim knew each other and the shooting was not random.
King has been charged with attempted murder, assault, and possession of a handgun and is being held without bail.
The investigation remains ongoing.
