A former Florida cop was charged with aggravated child abuse for holding a 6-year-old underwater at a resort pool after the boy dunked her son.
Tiffany Lee Griffith, 36, a former Florida law enforcement officer, was charged with aggravated child abuse after allegedly holding a 6-year-old boy underwater in a pool at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Kissimmee on December 19.
Authorities say the incident followed the boy allegedly dunking Griffith’s son, prompting her to enter the pool, place her hands on the boy’s shoulders, and submerge him for several seconds.
The boy exited visibly distressed and had a nosebleed.
Griffith was arrested, booked into jail, and released on a $20,000 bond.
The case is under investigation, with no further details released about the boy’s condition or the extent of injuries.
