Aiken County Public School District gave away 233 bicycles to elementary students in its fourth annual Bicycle Drive, up from 160 last year.
The effort, led by Executive Director Carl White, grew from a small school initiative to a district-wide program involving schools, staff, and community partners.
Midland Valley High School donated 101 bikes, nearly half the total, while Wagener-Salley High School contributed 21.
