Willy Pete’s recalls Almond Despair bars due to undeclared almonds, posing allergy risks.
Willy Pete’s Chocolate Company is recalling its Almond Despair chocolate bars due to undeclared almonds, posing a serious allergy risk.
The 2-ounce purple-wrapped bars, with UPC code 0 987261 5, were mislabeled as containing macadamia nuts.
The product was sold at three stores: Curioporium in Southington, Connecticut; Puckerbutt Pepper Co. in Fort Mill, South Carolina; and Army Barracks in Saugus, Massachusetts.
No illnesses have been reported, but consumers are urged not to eat the chocolate and to return it for a refund.
The FDA issued the recall to protect those with almond allergies.
Contact the company at 860-878-0302 for questions.
