Two teenagers, an 18-year-old from Georgetown and a 17-year-old female passenger, died in a multi-vehicle crash on US-79 in Milam County, Texas, on Christmas Eve. The accident began when a 60-year-old man driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck towing a homemade trailer crossed into the opposite lane, striking a Ford Escape head-on. The impact caused the Ford to collide with an Infiniti QX60, injuring three of its occupants, who were hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the Ram was not injured, but his condition was not disclosed. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the cause of the crash, which occurred around 6:55 p.m. near the intersection of US-79 and FM-1085. No further details have been released.
