Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Sudan’s Sovereignty Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan in Ankara on December 25, 2025, urging an immediate ceasefire and renewed peace talks amid the ongoing Sudanese civil war.
The conflict, now in its third year, has caused over 12 million displacements, tens of thousands of deaths, and a severe humanitarian crisis with famine and disease.
