Texas RB Tre Wisner enters transfer portal after leading rusher in 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Texas running back Tre Wisner, the team’s leading rusher with 597 yards and three touchdowns on the ground and 146 receiving yards and one touchdown in nine games this season, has entered the transfer portal, his agent confirmed to ESPN. He had standout performances against Oklahoma and Texas A&M and previously led Texas with 1,064 rushing yards in 2024. The 9-3 Longhorns will face Michigan in the Citrus Bowl on Wednesday. Other Texas running backs linked to the portal include C.J. Baxter, Jerrick Gibson, and Rickey Stewart Jr., with the portal opening January 2. Texas recently hired Florida’s Jabbar Juluke as its new running backs coach.
