Sahaj Insurance Services, a subsidiary of Sahaj Retail under the Kanoria Foundation, has partnered with India’s Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) to expand life insurance access in rural and semi-urban areas.
The collaboration uses Sahaj’s network of 4.5 lakh digitally enabled rural centers to offer LIC products through trained personnel, simplifying enrollment, servicing, and claims.
The initiative aims to boost insurance adoption and financial inclusion, particularly in underserved regions with low awareness.
Sahaj recently obtained a corporate agency license from India’s Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority, enabling nationwide distribution.
The program also supports government-backed social security schemes and targets selling 10 crore policies in its first year.
