PennDOT names youth winners of its 2025 Paint the Plow contest for safe winter driving designs.

PennDOT has named regional winners of its 2025 Paint the Plow contest in Districts 2 and 3, an annual safety campaign encouraging high school and youth groups to design snowplow blades with winter driving messages. Winners include North Central Secure Treatment Unit in Danville, Montgomery Junior/Senior High School, and Our Lady of Lourdes Regional School, each recognized for creative designs promoting safe distances behind plows. Winning plows will be displayed at rest areas and PennDOT offices through the holidays. PennDOT urges drivers to maintain six car lengths behind plows, avoid passing plow trains, and keep headlights on during snowstorms.
