One month after a November 10 blast near Delhi’s Red Fort killed 15 people, Union Home Minister Amit Shah revealed that 40 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack, but authorities had recovered nearly three tonnes before detonation.
He credited security agencies with dismantling a major terror network, arresting nine suspects linked to mastermind Dr. Umar-un-Nabi, and neutralizing three terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.
Shah announced new counter-terrorism initiatives, including an updated NIA crime manual and two databases to track organized crime and recovered weapons, and called for stronger inter-agency coordination under a "Team India" approach.
