A Lego nativity display was stolen from an Australian church on Christmas Day, with Baby Jesus and others still missing.
A Lego-themed nativity display featuring life-size figures of Mary and Baby Jesus was stolen from All Saints Anglican Church in Nelson Bay, Australia, between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Christmas Day, 2025.
The display, made from recycled materials and borrowed mannequins, was the church’s first of its kind and drew widespread community attention.
While the Mary mannequin was later discreetly returned, Baby Jesus and other figures remained missing.
Parish priest Brett Watterson said the theft was emotionally distressing despite the figures’ low monetary value, noting the display’s significance to the community.
The church plans to report the incident to police and is urging anyone with information to come forward, though it will not rebuild the display.
