A judge appointed a receiver to manage Lamb’s House nonprofit after allegations of fund misuse by former leader Mark Altomare.
A Columbiana County judge has upheld a preliminary injunction against the Lamb’s House nonprofit in Rogers, Ohio, appointing attorney Ken Goldberg as receiver to manage its assets after allegations that former president Mark Altomare misused charitable funds and property for personal gain. The Ohio Attorney General’s office, led by Dave Yost, accused Altomare of breaching fiduciary duties, converting assets, and failing to fulfill the nonprofit’s addiction recovery mission. Two former board members were dismissed after agreeing to consent judgments barring them from future charity roles. A third-party lawsuit over a failed property sale remains pending. A review hearing is set for January 30, 2026.
