India honored former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s 101st birthday with tributes and events nationwide.

Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, and Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan, paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at the Sadaiv Atal memorial in New Delhi, marking his 101st birth anniversary. The event honored Vajpayee’s legacy as a three-time prime minister, skilled orator, poet, and key figure in India’s nuclear program and economic reforms. Nationwide, cultural events, including a poetry gathering in Odisha, celebrated his life and contributions. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha also paid homage, recalling Vajpayee as a mentor and father figure, while the government observed the day as Good Governance Day.
