David Dean, dubbed the "Walmart Grinch," was arrested in Volusia County, Florida, on Christmas Eve and linked to at least 33 shoplifting incidents across the U.S., involving over $29,000 in stolen merchandise.
Authorities say he was apprehended at a Deltona Walmart after concealing high-value items in lower-priced boxes and was found with a security tag remover, leading to additional charges.
Dean had outstanding warrants from Pinellas County, Arizona, and Washington.
He is now held in the Volusia County Branch Jail with a $11,500 bond.
