India nears semiconductor self-reliance, plans exports, and announces major growth projects in Madhya Pradesh.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced India is on the verge of achieving semiconductor self-reliance and will soon begin exports, highlighting progress at the Abhyudaya Madhya Pradesh Growth Summit in Gwalior.
He cited the Digital India Mission for expanding internet users from 70 million to 101 million since 2014 and noted foreign exchange reserves surpassed $700 billion in September 2025.
Shah emphasized Madhya Pradesh’s development, including infrastructure growth, surplus electricity, and a rise in startups and MSMEs, while honoring Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 101st birth anniversary.
Over Rs 2 lakh crore in projects were announced, expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs.
