Bono, Imelda May, and Glen Hansard joined the 15th annual Christmas Eve charity busking event in Dublin, held outside The Gaiety Theatre, to support the Dublin Simon Community.
The free concert, which began as an impromptu gathering in 2010, featured over 30 Irish artists and drew hundreds of attendees and a global livestream audience from Berlin, London, and New York.
Hansard opened the night, with Bono and May closing with a duet of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and a spirited group rendition of the Pogues’ “Fairytale of New York,” during which May honored the late Shane MacGowan.
The event continues to raise funds for homeless and at-risk individuals across seven counties.
