Wally Daudrich, who lost Manitoba’s PC leadership race, is running for the party’s 2027 nomination in Turtle Mountain.
Wally Daudrich, who narrowly lost Manitoba’s PC leadership race in April 2025, is seeking the party’s nomination in the Turtle Mountain riding for the 2027 provincial election.
Incumbent Doyle Piwniuk won’t seek re-election, creating an open seat.
Daudrich, a businessman with ties to agriculture and ecotourism, is promoting economic and resource development, echoing positions from his leadership campaign.
Though he previously faced criticism for controversial remarks, he says he supports current leader Obby Khan and remains committed to the PC Party.
The party has not yet launched the nomination process, but interested candidates are encouraged to contact them.
Daudrich delayed his candidacy to allow political stability, and his financial disclosure for the leadership race, which was overdue, was submitted by December 23, 2025, according to his agent.
