Logan Carlin, 24, of Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to setting fires at two businesses linked to organized crime in March 2025, including the Belle Cheveux beauty salon and DB Auto Services.
Prosecutors said he used firebombs, shouted threats, and fled in a stolen vehicle with false plates.
DNA and mobile phone data tied him to both scenes.
The attacks were part of Police Scotland’s Operation Portaledge targeting gang-related violence.
Carlin, who had prior convictions and worked in sales and marketing, was remanded in custody and will be sentenced in early 2026.
