A healthy female sloth was born on November 18 at Hamerton Zoo Park in Cambridgeshire, becoming the fifth sloth born there in four years. The baby, offspring of 35-year-old Mr Snuffles—the second oldest two-toed sloth in the UK—benefits from his care despite exceeding the species’ typical 15-year lifespan. The zoo’s breeding program continues to succeed, and the baby’s name will be revealed in a public announcement next year.
