Azerbaijan resettled 169 people in liberated villages as part of its "Great Return" initiative.
Azerbaijan has resettled 43 families—169 people—in Sos and Horovlu villages in liberated regions of Khojavend and Jabrayil districts, part of President Ilham Aliyev’s "Great Return" initiative.
The move marks the latest phase in repatriating internally displaced persons (IDPs) to areas previously under occupation, with over 6,200 families (24,729 people) resettled since the program began.
Residents, previously in temporary housing, received keys to new homes and expressed gratitude to the government and military.
Over 50,000 people now live in Nagorno-Karabakh and East Zangezur, including IDPs, workers, and staff in key sectors.
The government continues reconstruction and demining efforts, including along the Zangezur Corridor, to support safe return and long-term recovery.
