A 2-year-old London boy died in a UK crash when his breakdown vehicle was hit by another car, injuring five others.
A two-year-old boy from London died in a crash on the A1 northbound near Stibbington, Peterborough, on December 20, around 6:20 p.m., after the Toyota Auris he was in broke down in a live lane and was struck by a Volkswagen Touran. Five other people, all from London and passengers in the Toyota, sustained serious injuries. The 64-year-old Touran driver, from Peterborough, was slightly injured and arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving; he has been released on bail until March 20. Cambridgeshire Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage, urging anyone with information to contact them using incident number 401 of December 20. The child’s family is being supported by specialist officers, and authorities have expressed condolences.
