Officers spotted the stolen station wagon on Warral Road around 9 p.m., occupied by three teenage girls—two aged 12 and one 15. When the driver failed to stop, a chase ensued through West Tamworth and toward Dampier Street and Oxley Highway, ending when the vehicle crashed into a steel fence near Gidley Siding and stopped near Appleby Lane. No injuries were reported. All three girls were arrested. The 12-year-old was granted conditional bail to appear in children’s court in February, while the other two were processed under the Young Offenders Act. The incident occurred just days before Christmas.
