H3 Energy is reviving its Warro gas field, located near the Dampier-to-Bunbury pipeline, after recent studies identified manageable water ingress from specific fault zones. The project, previously sidelined due to technical and economic challenges, now appears viable as gas prices exceed $7 per gigajoule and could reach $10, making lower flow rates profitable. Improved engineering and regulation are helping transform the long-dormant field into a potential key onshore gas source for the state.
