Wallingford council seeks public input on scaled-down playpark plans for Bullcroft, addressing previous rejection and nearby concerns.
Wallingford Town Council has launched a public consultation on revised plans for a new junior and toddler playpark at Bullcroft, following the rejection of a previous proposal.
The updated design, scaled down to avoid planning permission, stays under four meters tall and 200 square meters, with a smaller seven-meter tower and reduced noise impact.
Located 25 to 30 meters from nearby homes, the site was chosen after years of review and remains constrained by the park’s scheduled monument status.
The consultation, open until January 16, seeks resident feedback on design improvements, with potential adjustments based on input.
The council is also working with Historic England and exploring cost-saving measures while preserving the project’s core vision.
