Savard, a former NHL player with 207 goals and 499 assists, joined the Leafs' staff in May 2024 under head coach Craig Berube, reuniting with him after their time together in St. Louis. The team will not immediately replace him, instead assigning power play responsibilities to assistants Derek Lalonde and Mike Van Ryn.
