Robert O’Connor to stand trial for killing his mother, father, and brother in September.

Robert O’Connor, 31, of Drumgowna, County Louth, will stand trial at Dublin’s Central Criminal Court for the September 29 killings of his mother, father, and brother. The case was returned for trial after the State Solicitor confirmed a book of evidence was served and the Director of Public Prosecutions approved the move. Judge Nicola Andrews warned O’Connor to provide written details of any alibi witnesses within 14 days, ordered disclosure of Garda interviews, and granted him free legal aid covering two barristers, a solicitor, and a psychiatric evaluation. O’Connor, who acknowledged the warning, was remanded in custody.
