A Nashua man died in a snowstorm crash on Route 101 when his Subaru hit a bridge abutment and caught fire.
A 58-year-old Nashua man, Joseph J. Lavoie, died Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on eastbound Route 101 in Candia, New Hampshire, after his 2025 Subaru Outback veered off the road and struck a concrete bridge abutment.
The vehicle caught fire but was quickly extinguished.
Lavoie was rushed to a hospital, where he later died.
The right lane was closed for several hours during the investigation, which concluded by 10:13 a.m.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the crash, which occurred during heavy snow and icy conditions.
