The Mosaic Company has agreed to sell its Carlsbad, New Mexico potash operations to International Minerals Carlsbad, LLC for $30 million, including a $20 million initial cash payment and $10 million in deferred payments over three years.
The deal, expected to close in early 2026, includes the mine, assets, liabilities, intellectual property like the K-Mag and Dynamate brands, and assumed asset retirement obligations.
Mosaic will record a non-cash impairment charge in Q4 2025 and shift focus to its potash operations in Saskatchewan, Canada.
