A man pleaded not guilty to racist abuse at an August 2025 Liverpool match, banned from football and online mentions of the victim.
Mark Mogan, 47, has pleaded not guilty to a racially aggravated public order offense stemming from an incident at Anfield during Liverpool’s August 15, 2025, Premier League match against Bournemouth.
The game was paused after Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo reported racist abuse, prompting a spectator’s ejection.
Mogan appeared at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court on December 22, 2025, and was granted conditional bail ahead of his April 22, 2026, trial, with restrictions including a ban on attending football matches, contacting Semenyo, or referencing him online.
Both Liverpool FC and the FA have condemned racism.
