Louisiana veteran runs 100 miles to raise suicide awareness, honoring a friend and supporting his high school.
Jeremy Adams, a Louisiana veteran who survived a roadside bomb in Afghanistan, completed a 100-mile run from the Texas border to Natchez, Mississippi, from December 18 to 21, 2025, to raise awareness about veteran and teen suicide.
Motivated by the 2017 drug overdose death of a close friend, he quit drinking and smoking and began running as part of his recovery.
Despite physical challenges, including foot injuries from combat, he pushed through to deliver a message of hope, stressing that one suicide is too many and help is available.
Proceeds support East Beauregard High School, which he calls a second family.
His GoFundMe remains active for donations.
