Eurofins expands Lancaster County lab with $147M project, creating 250 jobs and gaining state support.
Eurofins announced a $147 million expansion of its Lancaster County lab, the company’s largest project yet, adding a 300,000-square-foot biopharmaceutical testing facility and creating about 250 jobs over three years.
The project, supported by over $2 million in state funding including grants from the Pennsylvania First Fund and WEDnetPA for worker training, follows a 2019 expansion.
Governor Josh Shapiro praised the investment as a sign of Pennsylvania’s economic strength, citing Moody’s positive outlook and Forbes’ recognition of the state for business growth, while contrasting it with national job losses and rising unemployment.
The expansion includes partnerships with local institutions like Millersville University to develop career pathways in high-tech fields.
